One of my sons favorite books is “Where the Wild Things Are“. I actually remember reading this book as a child myself and thinking how cool it was that Max went on this amazing adventure and came back to his hot dinner waiting for him! It’s amazing how timeless of a book it is. It makes my 5 year olds imagination go wild, and he loves seeing cute little Max dancing with the wild things.
So best friend and I, Jessica from Pretty Providence, threw the CUTEST baby shower! It was for our dear friend Anna, from Practical and Pretty. The theme we chose was “Where the Wild Things Are”, which if you know Anna, is right up her alley. The colors and the idea of it couldnt be more her style. And it helps that we loved it just as much!
We were so excited to see how it all came together, and every detail ended up working perfectly! The colors were incredible together!
We had this event catered by the magnificent Kitchen 435! You guys, I can’t rave about their food enough! The soups were so flavorful and filled the entire house with an incredible smell. Then there were two salads, and I am pretty sure I went back for thirds and fourths of the Greek Tortellini Salad! And the desserts, not only were they beautiful, but everyone was going on and on about the mini cheesecakes. Those were definitely the hit of the party! Usually I am a DIY person when it comes to food, but I can’t explain the amount of stress that was relieved knowing that the food was all taken care of and chosen. I couldn’t dream up that menu if I tried! If you are in Utah, you need to check them out.
We decorated with a lot of natural colors, such as dark forest greens and beiges. It came together so incredible, and it was just the ambiance we were going for. For more photos of the decor and food details head over to Pretty Providence!
Now, for the best part!! We have free printables for you!
The first is this “I’ll eat you up I love you so” printable. I actually made three of these, and I kept them all to offer to you!! I couldn’t decide which one was my favorite, so I thought “Why not all of them?!”
I also created these food notecards, I loved how it added a little color to the food display, and also let people know exactly what they were eating. I left them blank, so you can add whatever wording you would like.
We would love to hear all about your “Where the Wild Things Are” Shower and see photos! Tag us on social media or comment below.
