My oldest son’s birthday is just around the corner. Last year I threw him this camping themed party. It has by far been my favorite party EVER! It was seriously so fun! My husband is an avid outdoors-man and loves anything rugged and manly. So obviously my son does anything his daddy does so when we thought of this idea. We were all so excited.
WHAT’S ON THE MENU:
Pigs in a sleeping bag:
Wrap hot dog in Pillsbury Crescent Rolls.
Cook according to directions on can. ha ha ha ha
All my printables and invitations were made by the amazing www.GardellaGlobal.etsy.com
Except for the fish. I can’t tell you where I got those because it might be illegal.
(a.k.a. worms n’ dirt)
Follow the directions on the Jello Instant Pudding Mix box. Spoon pudding into small mason jars. Top with crushed Oreo’s, gummy worms, and these cute cupcake toppers. (link below).
Aren’t these the cutest little happy campers you have ever seen? That cute boy in the back belongs to Mellie.
I wrapped Fruit Barrels in my cute printable and attached a straw.
I love fruit barrels for this genius reason.
Stab your straw straight through the silver lid on top, TA-DA now you have a kid friendly, spill resistant, drink!
TO GO BAGS FOR THE HAPPY CAMPERS
Here are some links to the gear I put in our to go bags.
Flashlights, compasses, binoculars, magnifying glass, fake bugs, bug catchers and treats!
We played “deer, deer, MOOSE!” (our own version of duck, duck goose) We played “don’t let your balloon touch the ground”. Surprisingly, it was awesome and the kids didn’t get too rowdy! I set up our old tent, that is on its last leg, for the kids to play in. I just let them all loose. They had a ball
We also ate “campfire flames” (Doritos)
MONEY SAVING TRICKS
My brother in law cuts down trees for a living. I was able to pick up these wood slabs FOR FREE!
I used a bunch of pine cones that I found FOR FREE!
This plaid table runner is actually a blanket scarf that I already had!
I pulled these trees out of my Christmas decor that I already had.
I found this amazing faux wood plastic backdrop! Can’t find a rustic lodge to host your party at?
Make your own cabin anywhere with this awesome, affordable backdrop!
This backdrop was huuuuugggeee.
I had enough to cover the back wall, the table, and some of the floor!
All the cute, crazy, campers. SAY CHEESE!
SO MUCH FUNNNNNN!
