Summer is in full swing at our house! And where we live it gets HOT!! So you better believe we spend a lot of time inside, at the pool, splash pad, or outside in the SHADE. We have to come up with different ways to keep my kids busy and entertained since going outside isn’t always an option.
My Sister-In-Law/most favorite person in the world is pregnant with TWINS!!!!
She already has three kids.
Now she is about to add two more!
FIVE KIDS UNDER THE AGE OF FIVE!
Guys, I make this
crack cocaine treat at least once a month! The funny thing is, is that every time I make it I hardly get any because people circle like vultures until it is gone! No seriously! I have resorted to grabbing a big ball of it, then I lock myself in the bathroom so no one can steal it from me! (I know I am disgusting…..and smart.) Go ahead and judge my eating habits, Judgy McJudgerton, I have no shame! This stuff is really THAT GOOD! And it is sooooooo addicting!

We have two kids under 5. As you can imagine, and as most of you know, we don’t get out as much as we used to. What used to be movie nights, eating out, or fun activities have turned into quiet evenings at home for my husband and I. Kids have bedtimes, busy schedules, and by the end of the day we are all wiped out.

Who’s so excited that it’s finally summer?! (Me! Me! Me!) We have been loving the laid back feeling of summer and have slept in on a few different occasions after long days at the pool in the sun. It’s heaven! And each day of summer that passes I get excited for one of my FAVORITE HOLIDAYS that’s coming up…..The 4th of July.
I love all the patriotism that happens during July, fireworks, and especially all the parties! I am planning on hosting my very first 4th of July party, and I am in prep mode already! What to wear, what to eat, how many sparklers do I need??!! Ah!
I debated not throwing this party because:
let’s be honest, she is two, she has no “friends”, she will never remember it, parties cost a lot of money. The list goes on and on, I mean, who is this party even for?
But for some reason (probably because I am crazy) I just couldn’t kick this idea. So I made it happen.
AND OH MY GOSH IT TURNED OUT SO CUTE!
And did I mention, I did It all for way under $50?
YES YOU READ THAT CORRECTLY!

Have any of you ever had to decorate a church gym?
If you have ever been lucky enough to do so, you know that is is full of challenges!
From basketball hoops to hymn book holders, church gyms are tough to decorate!
AND THEY ARE HUUUGGGE
Or “UGE” as Mr President Donald Trump would say.
So I am just going to toot my own horn for a moment and give myself a pat on the back because I feel like
WE NAILED IT!
My oldest son’s birthday is just around the corner. Last year I threw him this camping themed party. It has by far been my favorite party EVER! It was seriously so fun! My husband is an avid outdoors-man and loves anything rugged and manly. So obviously my son does anything his daddy does so when we thought of this idea. We were all so excited.
You know those pregnancy cravings that literally hit you like a brick wall? These cookies are one of those for me. When my pregnancy cravings hit, it’s life or death. So you better believe when I wanted these cookies I ran to my nearest store and got all the ingredients.
One of my sons favorite books is “Where the Wild Things Are“. I actually remember reading this book as a child myself and thinking how cool it was that Max went on this amazing adventure and came back to his hot dinner waiting for him! It’s amazing how timeless of a book it is. It makes my 5 year olds imagination go wild, and he loves seeing cute little Max dancing with the wild things.
